Holia Film has been producing quality content in both fiction and documentary for nearly 45 years. Founded in 1980 by filmmaker Gabriel Hoss and artist Nicole Desmarais, Holia Film continues to this day to deliver cutting edge productions in film and video for audiences worldwide, including state of the art CGI and visual effects services.
Holia Film's two television productions The First Original 'How It's Made' / Comment c'est fait series (1981-1999) and A Touch of Genius / L'Écran Classique (1991) have been distributed worldwide on all 5 continents, and honored at awards in the US and Canada. Other celebrated films include Marius Borodine, which won the Audience's choice award at the 2010 Fantasia Film Festival and was nominated for Best Live Action Short at the 2011 Genie Awards. Holia Film through its founder Gabriel Hoss, continued to provide the directing services for the new How It's Made television series until 2013.
